SHORT TITLE.\n\nThis Act may be cited as the ``LEARN AI Act''.\n\nSEC. 2. PROMOTION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN APPRENTICESHIP\nPROGRAMS.\n\n(a) Sense of Congress.--It is the sense of Congress that it should\nbe the policy of the United States to promote workforce readiness for\nthe adoption and use of artificial intelligence technologies through\nregistered apprenticeship programs.\n(b) Department of Labor Activities.--The Secretary of Labor may--\n(1) encourage the inclusion of instruction relating to\nartificial intelligence technologies, tools, and applications\nin registered apprenticeship programs;\n(2) develop and disseminate best practices for the\nresponsible use of artificial intelligence in registered\napprenticeship programs;\n(3) provide technical assistance to employers, labor\norganizations, educational institutions, and apprenticeship\nsponsors seeking to incorporate artificial intelligence-related\ncompetencies into registered apprenticeship programs; and\n(4) support all efforts related to registered\napprenticeship programs carried out by the Department of Labor\nto prepare workers to adapt to technological changes associated\nwith the use of artificial intelligence.\n(c) Construction.--Nothing in this section shall be construed to\nrequire any registered apprenticeship program to adopt artificial\nintelligence-related instruction or to alter existing program standards\nestablished under the Act of August 16, 1937 (commonly known as the\n``National Apprenticeship Act''; 50 Stat. 664, chapter 663; 29 U.S.C.\n50 et seq.).\n(d) Registered Apprenticeship Program Defined.--The term\n``registered apprenticeship program'' means an apprenticeship program\nregistered under the Act of August 16, 1937 (commonly known as the\n``National Apprenticeship Act'';
